The Center for Leadership Development at the University of Missouri exists as a partner with others to train, educate, and develop citizens for purposeful leadership. Active participation in one or many of MU's leadership experiences is an important step toward the development and achievement of personal, academic, and professional goals.

We believe... Leadership is not a buzz-word, it is not a cliche, Leadership is a universal concept. it permeates every aspect of our lives; the way we perform our job, how we raise our children, who we vote for, whether or not you get a promotion and in every relationship we have. Through our programs we feel as though we are challenging and supporting MU Students to view leadership as a vital life skill. Through effective leadership development programs we feel that we are preparing this generation to become concerned global citizens who will be the next set of societies architects.
